Conservatives seem to have gone pledge mad. Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum have signed a pledge promising, among other things to remain loyal to their spouses and to oppose gay marriage. (Newt Gingrich has apparently considered signing it, with some amendments as he is on wife #3.)

I’m glad to see our politicians taking the Jonas Brothers approach. Maybe they should start passing around “Pledge Rings” and recite the words, “Read my lips. NO NEW TAXES” and then click their heals together to go back to Kansas.
